                                    HEADMASTER

AS DELIVERED BY  SHRI RAM RATAN DAS

Malda Zilla School can definitely boast of its colourful history in being the birthplace of eminent academicians as Professor Binoy Sarkar and also in being an eyewitness to the rich past of the Indian struggle against British imperialism. I am instantaneously reminded by its very name that one of its administrators had been even murdered on charge of British espionage during the freedom movement. This institution remains the only West Bengal Government run school catering the needs of students of the three districts of North Dinajpur, South Dinajpur and Malda completing 150 years of service to the nation. Equipped with band of trained faculty members and offering well nourished laboratory and library facilities, and even armed with sophisticated technological Teaching–Learning Materials, I solicit the guardians to extend their heartfelt co–operation in our target to reach our goal: to properly build up the foundations of the future society that is the students of modern times. And if this can be truly attained, I then remain firm in my belief to speak in the words of the noted poet P. B. Shelley “If Winter comes, can Spring be far behind.”
